It’s sad to say, but James Holmes is a reflection of our culture.
We are obsessed with violence, self-destruction, narcissism and hatred of others.
We can’t fight people like James Holmes without changing who we are.
Can we embrace peace over violence? Sustainability over self-destruction? Humility over narcissism? Empathy over hatred?
Are we willing as a whole to walk this path?
Given some of the rhetoric thus far? I would say no not yet.
Why not yet?

Based on what is being reported and what is being said by those in a position to speak for their respective positions (GOP, Democrat, NRA, Right, Left, Whatever) it does not appear this nation (USA) is prepared to have a civil discussion about violence and guns.
It’s hard to speak louder than all the NRA’s money.
